Short but sweet!

What an amazing family I have! I just love them!!!

My procedure went well. I was in a little bit of pain and just had to basically nap off the drugs and I was back to normal. I go back in in 3 months to have a "dye test" done to make sure my tubes are completely blocked.

On the Sunday before Christmas, a friend of mine (and also a former preemie graduate family from PSL) took Christmas care packages to the families who will be in the NICU over Christmas. What an amazing day that way. I already can't wait for next year! We had TONS of donations from quilts, to toothbrushes, to hats and everything inbetween. We wrapped them and were able to hand deliver them to the parents. I pray that we were able to put some hope back in them that there really is life after the NICU because I know from experience I was wondering if we would ever truly leave. There was one mom inperticilar I remember that kept asking questions and it almost seemed like a sigh of relief when she found out we were in her exact shoes not too long ago and look at us now! We were visiting with our babies who were once living in those small clear boxes with lots if wires and tubes. I hope that we made someone's Christmas a little brighter. Even if it was just one person. It was also great seeing all the nurses! How cool it was walking down the hall, "your Brynlees mom! How is she!?" Some even went out to the waiting room to peek at her! (If you would like to help and donate ANYTHING please let me know! And thank you! Stephanie.Bucklen@gmail.com)

What an awesome Christmas we all had! All three of us were definitely spoiled. I think Brynlees favorite gift was the wrapping paper off one of her toys. It I would have known that I wouldn't have gotten her all those toys! Haha I can't wait for her to be able to play with those!

Brynlee had her 6 month doctors appointment the day after Christmas. She weighed 9 lbs 13 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long!! My little girls not so little anymore! We are still in newborn clothes but it seems those might be fading out before we know it. Her doctor was very happy where she was physically and developmentally. No, were still not on the charts yet, but we'll get there someday. No need to hurry it. I'm still trying to figure out where the last 6 months went! She's been doing great sleeping through the night! And mommy can't complain of the extra sleep. She loves sitting and standing (with mommy and daddy's help of course) and looking around. Our newest thing is talking. And boy can she talk. And mommy just loves listening. She's such a happy girl, especially in the mornings which makes it a little easier for mommy since mommys not so much a morning person. But seeing that smile makes everything better!  I'm pretty sure she's still a daddy's girl though. I think I lost that battle haha.
